Acupuncture

Bronwen Lloyd-Hughes
I have been working as an Acupuncturist since 1998, having undertaken a three year course at The College of Traditional Acupuncture in Leamington Spa.  I am also a Member of the British Acupuncture Council.

In the West acupuncture has received a great deal of publicity, so much so that many people are now prepared to seek help for their specific health problems.

What can it treat?
Traditionally acupuncture has been used to treat the entire spectrum of illness, physical and psychological, acute and chronic.  Many people come for help with specific symptoms or conditions such as anxiety states, arthritis, asthma, back pain, circulatory disorders, depression, high blood pressure, menstrual problems, migraine, rheumatism, indeterminate aches and pains, infertility, ulcers or skin problems.  Others seek help when they feel generally unwell or are suffering from high levels of stress.

Acupuncture treats the whole person, not just a specific symptom, and aims to bring balance to body, mind and spirit as an integrated whole.

Chinese medicine is based on the belief that the presenting symptoms are not the disease itself but the result of an underlying energy imbalance.  This sends out distress signals which we label as anxiety, heartburn, depression, etc etc.

My Particular Area of Interest
My particular area of interest is male/female infertility and I have had many successful outcomes.
