About the Consultation
The purpose of
the consultation is to determine the cause (where possible) and best possible
treatment for the individual.
The first consultation is about an
hour. Questions will include those which help clarify the complaint, but
will cover past medical history, diet, lifestyle, allergies, medication and
self-medication and a review of body systems. Other diagnostic techniques
may be employed if considered necessary, such as, blood pressure, pulse and
tongue analysis.
After the consultation a personalised mixture of
herbs, often in tincture form is made up and usually posted to the
individual.
It is usually necessary to have a course of treatment
to assess progress. These can vary in length according to the condition.
Follow up appointments are about half an hour.
Herbal medicine can
treat a wide range of conditions including: IBS/digestive disorders,
menopausal/hormonal conditions, arthritis, skin conditions, allergies, stress
and stress related conditions.
